- HOW TO EDIT ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««
-
- The first thing to do is to receive a data dump from your K4 or to load
- one from disk. If you filled your all_buffer and you would like to edit
- any sound data you first have to split the all_buffer into its components.
- For this select Split in the menu. After this you should click on
- Single, Multi, Effect or Drum. You will enter now the selected block_buffer.
- There you can pick a data dump by clicking on its name.
- Now select the Edit-Gadget. You have entered the edit-mode in this moment.
- Use the mouse and cursor keys to select and change the parameters.
- I think you will understand the system of editing very soon.
- To end the edit mode select the Edit-Gadget. Your new data will be copied
- immediately to the block_buffer. Use Unsplit in the menu to copy the data
- in the all_buffer.

-
- Additional practical notes from AM/FM:
-
- Please note that the data files that go with this editor, i.e. the "dump"
- files, are all packed with PowerPacker on the AM/FM disk, and cannot be used
- for anything until they have been DeCrunched to another disk. For this, use
- the "Decrunch" program stored in the C: -directory on this AM/FM disk.
-
- Also, the Editor requires midi.library and req.library, both stored in the
- libs: directory on this disk. If you are going to move the K4-Editor to
- another disk and use it from there, you must also copy these two library files
- to your boot disk.
